The fourth strong woman

Yes, that’s my darling, and she has found out all sorts now about the Kabis, Villnöss and all of the pioneers. Reinhold Messner – incidentally related to Konrad and the Kabis family –, Adolf Munkel, Paul Preuss, Paul Grohmann and Johann Santner, all honoured guests at the Hotel Kabis – the South Tyrolean mountaineering pioneers’ hotel – whose footsteps we are going to follow in tomorrow when we head up to the breathtaking mountain pastures below the summits of the Villnöss Geisler group. But today we’re having a real lazy day. In a moment we’re going to the super-cool grotto pool with sauna and steam bath – and then out onto the sunbathing lawn beneath the apple and pear trees, where I will be able to let my mind roam free, untroubled by thoughts of the outside world.
