What's on the agenda today? Nothing at all – because there isn't one! When you're staying at the Kabis in the Villnöss Valley, you simply follow your desires and whims. We don't need to think twice about it. A glance into the eyes of my love tells me that she has the same idea as I do.

Konrad mentioned that there are people here who start their ascent to the summit of the Geisler in the middle of the night to experience the sunrise from the top. One person even "snuck up with the goat" – a true South Tyrolean tradition. At half past five in the morning! When the wind is right, you can hear the crack of the whip and the sound of the air echoing down into the valley! True mountain pioneers. That's how the people of Villnöss are.

Looking at the Sass Rigais standing there, it's hard to imagine actually climbing so high. My legs tingle just from looking at these amazing mountains. One day, I will wake up and take on the challenge.

Today, we're going to take a closer look at the Geisler mountains. We want to be truly impressed and experience the splendour of nature ... but first, a hearty breakfast with the eggs we fetched ourselves – yes, we really did get them from the coop – and then we're off.

Konrad is really nice. He always gives us good tips. Have a great day too! Now we're taking the bus towards Zanser Alm. We don't have to pay a thing for it because we were given the DolomitiMobil Card upon our arrival. It provides many discounts and even free guided hikes.

Look at the sunlight playing with the shades of green from the tree needles and the grass along the roadside! And how it all smells! The refreshing mountain breeze that blows the beads of sweat along our temples ... the sun shining on the backs of our necks as we experience the feeling of being in the mountains – pure bliss.

The Swiss stone pines look like petrified dancers. Only the wind and the enchanting scent of the needles in the warm sun remind us that they are living beings. The delicate flowers in the crevices of the rocks, the interplay of blue sky, light grey Dolomite crags, and green alpine meadows ... It's unimaginable that they were once coral reefs in a primordial sea. Maybe we'll find a fossil?

In any case, we discover wonderful places to take photos and create beautiful new memories. What a day it has been! Magnificent!
