Moments with character!

What a beautiful day it has been! We drank coffee on the terrace, ate ice cream, and chatted about all sorts of things.

Now this day is slowly coming to an end, and the sun is gradually moving towards the horizon. It bathes the Geisler Dolomites in a wonderful evening light. But the enjoyment and the feeling of well-being are far from over – it somehow feels like they're just beginning.

Konrad promised to show us his exquisite wine menu today. He said he has the perfect wine for every dish. Our friends already told us that they know a lot here about what goes together. "You and your girlfriend also go well together," Konrad says with a smile. He gets it!

Full-bodied and light wines, dry and fruity ones – there is no shortage of options at the Kabis. Many fine beverages come directly from the Eisack Valley, which is just around the corner from Villnöss. The local wine stands side by side with a fine selection from the Mediterranean region: Tuscany, Sicily, Abruzzo …

Exquisite vintages – delicate glasses filled with delicious essence. Deep red, like the blood flowing through South Tyrol's veins. How could it be anything other than high-quality and full of love? I could easily start philosophizing if the stories they tell us here weren't so fascinating. Our friends didn't tell us that Hotel Kabis has such a long mountaineering tradition – and that Konrad is related to the legendary Reinhold Messner!
